Village Privacy Policy

The short version: Village is built for parents, by a parent. We collect only what we need to help you coordinate with your people, and we never sell your data. Ever.

What we collect - and by collect, we mean use so that the app can work for you!

  • Your name and email address (when you sign up)

  • Your phone number (so friends can find you)

  • Your kids' first names and ages (and you can make up fake ones if you want)

  • A profile photo if you choose to add one

  • Posts you create (playdate requests and offers)

  • Your connections (who you've friended)

What we do with it
We use your information only to make PopOver work — matching you with people you've connected with, showing your posts to your circle, and letting friends find you by phone number. That's it.

Who can see your information

  • Your profile is only visible to people you've connected with

  • Your posts are only visible to people you've invited

  • Your kids' names and ages are never shown to strangers

  • We cannot see your conversations

What we never do

  • Sell your data

  • Share it with advertisers

  • Use it to target you with ads

  • Share it with anyone you haven’t chosen to connect with on PopOver

Your kids' information
PopOver is designed for parents of minors. We treat your children's information with extra care. Kids' names and ages are stored only to help you coordinate playdates within your trusted circle. Make up fake names if you want.

Where your data lives
PopOver uses Google Firebase to store data securely. You can read Google's privacy policy at firebase.google.com.

Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time by emailing us. We'll remove your data within 30 days.
